The Lifeline Express is the charity project with a fund raiser initiated by entrepreneurs and the public of Hong Kong. The project involves building a custom designed train with medical facilities and equipment onboard. Its purpose is to reach inaccessible rural areas where medical services are scarce for treating cataract. In 2004, Perfect contributed millions of dollars for the first train “eye hospital” in Mainland China for treating patients with eye conditions. The establishment of Perfect (China) Micro-Ophthalmology Surgical Training Center of Shandong will no doubt be another milestone in the history of Perfect’s charity efforts and social responsibilities.
